Benny "Ben" D. Smith went home to heaven at the age of 83 on July 6, 2022. Ben was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on October 6, 1938 to father Frank Dean Smith and mother Nancy Elizabeth Forbes-Smith. After high school, he proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. Ben's lifetime career was in sales and he retired from Otis Spunkmeyer in 2004. His passions were reading, running, gospel music, baseball, and football.
Benny was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, four granddaughters, two sisters and brother. He is survived by his wife Carrie Smith; 7 children, 23 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2 sisters.
A memorial service for the family will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be sent in Benny's name to Clarehouse Hospice Home by visiting www.clarehouse.org < http://www.clarehouse.org/ > or calling 918-893-6150.
