Donald and Bertha (Randol) Wells, were blessed with their second daughter, Bernadean on July 17, 1939 at Ackmen, Colorado. At an early age, Bernadean's family settled in at Cahone, Colorado, where the family ran a farm. She attended school first through twelfth, graduating from Dolores County High.
She was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in her early teens, by the late Bro Clinton Smart of Pleasant View, Colorado. At the age of 13, a young man of 17 traveled into Colorado and got a glimpse of her. One evening, Jack Sweet, made a request to Donald that he might give Bernadean a ride home. Well, Donald had no idea who this young man was and declared, "I don't even know you." Therefore, the answer was a firm, "NO."
However, Jack didn't give up, he stuck around, got more acquainted with Donald, he worked for Bernadean's parents in the few years ahead. Donald then could see clearly, the type of man that Jack was. By and by, Jack requested Donald's blessing to take Bernadean as his bride.
She was united in marriage to Isaac Forrest (Jack) Sweet on July 17, 1956, at the Dolores County High School, with Bro Clinton Smart officiating the ceremony. They settled in their first little place in Cahone, Colorado, where they started their little family. In a few years, they moved south a few miles to Cortez, Colorado. Where their family grew and they remained until they felt God had another place for them to live. They uprooted and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the early '70's. They continued in their labors with their own business until January 13, 2021.
To this union seven children were born, six sons, and one daughter. Bernadean leaves behind her husband Jack, six sons and their wives, her daughter and husband, grandchildren, great grand-children, many friends and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Bertha Wells, her sister, Imogene Daves, brother-in-law, James Daves, three infant granddaughters, Sissy Lee Tibbett, Kadesha Marie Sweet, and Cherish Dae Sweet.
