Bertha Mae Garrett a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, friend and loved one was born March 14, 1963 to loving parents Ella Mary Garrett and Bernard Garrett, in Houston, Texas. Bertha has two older brothers Elmer Gibson and Michael Garrett Sr. She was the baby of the family. Later her family moved to Hutchinson, Kansas where she attended High School and became best friends with Nanette Nesbit Edmond. Then her family moved to California & back to Kansas to find her place in Tulsa, Oklahoma for the past 21 plus years.


Bertha is Survived by her brother, Michael Garrett and nephew, Orlando Hogan. Her children, Michael George, Tuesday Rush, Nekesha George, Derrick Mulligan and Tyler Mulligan. Also her grandchildren, Daya George, Aliza George, Divonna George, Latavia George, Jai-Sean George-Phillips, Cartier Hunter, Beauty Young, Iioanna Jennings, Imonie Jennings, Jakobe Jones, Khaleesi Mulligan, Tyler Mulligan, Jr., Taylor Mulligan, Ty'layah Mulligan and Tylan Mulligan,


Bertha loved her family. She was definitely someone who was always having you laughing. Her sense of humor and love is unmatched. If you knew you knew. Bertha excelled at propping up members of her family, especially her children and supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their life. She was loved and will be truly missed Queen B!


Funeral services for Bertha will be at 3:14 PM (to honor the date of her birth) on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Moore Funeral Home - Southlawn Chapel with Pastor Chase Cheatwood officiating.
