Bertman James ?Bruce? Broussard
was born January 21, 1930,
in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, and
died after long illnesses on May
23, 2013 in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

When Bruce graduated in 1947, he
entered the Army and was eventually
stationed in Germany and
later in Japan. He was discharged
in 1953 and attended Spartan
School of Aeronautics. He retired
from his construction company,
Greater Tulsa Contractors, after
more than thirty-five years of active
participation.

He is survived by: his wife, Jeannie:
daughter, Denise (Deni) Wheeler and husband,
Kevin; son, Dennis and son, Mark and
wife, Kathy. He had grandchildren: Denise
Marie, Brianna, Samantha, Ryan and Michael.
He is also survived by: sisters, Mildred
McLean of Port Authur, TX and Janet
Mullins of Grove, TX; and brother,
Harris and wife, Bobbie of Rome,
GA.

He was a man who lived life
to the fullest on his own terms. He
had many hobbies: motorcycling,
archery, chess, target marksmanship,
and radio controlled airplanes.
He loved to cook for large
groups and was the star of many
a party. He was known for his
well-waxed handlebar mustache.
He will be sorely missed for his
style, wit and humor.

Memorial service will be held at Moore?s
Southlawn Chapel, Saturday, June 1, at
2:00 P.M.. Reverend Michael Fletcher-Taylor
of St Matthews UMC will preside.
