Bessie Lou Pope, 82, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born to Bessie Lou (Carr) and George Washington McCombs, Sr. on May 8, 1933 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Bessie was preceded in death by her husband, J.M. Pope; her parents; brothers, George Washington McCombs, Jr. and Charles Samuel McCombs; sisters, Evelyn Sue Eddy, Mildred Hunter Cummings, Alice Vivian McCosar, Elisabeth Hill and Mary Frances Deerinwater.

She is survived by sons, Terry Pope and Timothy Pope and wife Rose Marie and two grandchildren, Jennifer Pope and Jason Pope. Bessie will be greatly missed by our family and her many friends.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, 10:00 A.M. March 2, 2016 at Moore's Memory Chapel. Interment will follow at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma. Under the direction of Moore's Memory Chapel, 918-583-6148.
