Obituary

Bette Lue Madison-Kirsch, 81 of Tulsa, Oklahoma recently passed in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born in Tulsa to Hazel Morain-Madison and Clyde Madison. Preceded in death by Howard R. Kirsch of Tulsa, her sister, Patsy Stephens and brother-in-law Lee Stephens. Native American ancestors include Madison and Childers of the Creek Nation.

She attended Tulsa Central High School and met her future husband, Howard Kirsch of Lincoln, Nebraska at the local roller skating rink. Together they raised 4 children, and ran several family businesses' including Kirsch rental properties, Southwest Corvette Restoration and the American Art Bronze Foundry which cast and installed the Appeal to the Great Spirit in Woodward Park and the Indian Ballerina at the Williams Center Green in downtown Tulsa. Like her mother before her, Bette enjoyed dancing and taught rhythmic aerobics for over 30 years. She was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha a non-collegiate sorority involved in fund raising as well as the annual Fall Festival Arts & Crafts Show. Bette was devoted full time to her family and all their activities, including football, swimming, track, cheerleading and Scouts. Summers were spent on Grand Lake at Bomars Marina and Windmill Run as well as taking cross country road trips with the National Corvette Restorers Society.

Bette Kirsch is survived by five grandchildren and her own 4 children; Joe Kirsch of Half Moon Bay, California, Julie Kirsch of Albuquerque, New Mexico, James Kirsch of Atlanta, Georgia, and Judy Kirsch of Tulsa, Oklahoma . Cryptside service will be 2:30 P.M., Friday, May 8, 2015 at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum, Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
