Bettie Jean Tobey, 92, passed away on December 9, 2023 surrounded by loved ones at her home in Jenks, OK. Bettie was born on January 2, 1931 in Addison, NY to her parents Gerald and Ethel Gardner. Bettie was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 3 brothers, a beloved son-in-law Kelly Edington and a precious great-grandson Jayce Spiegel. She was survived by her husband of 71 years, Bill Tobey, her eight children, Nancy (Mike) Smith of Coweta, OK, Billy (Paula) Tobey of Jenks, OK, Joey (Karol) Tobey of Essex Junction, VT, Danny Tobey of Tulsa, OK, Judy Edington of Jenks, OK, Cindy (Chris) Stehm of Tulsa, OK, Patty (John) Wilson of Vermont, Susie (Kevin) Terry of Jenks, OK, 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Bettie enjoyed spending time with her large family. One of her most valued wishes was that all of her family would know the Lord, so we can all be reunited in Heaven one day. She enjoyed cleaning, baking, crossword puzzles, working in the yard and of course shopping at Hallmark. She had the most pure, sweet, loving and non judging spirit. She was a fierce prayer warrior that would always greet you with her precious, beautiful smile. She will be truly missed by her family and friends, but we find peace in knowing we will see her again one glorious day.

The family will hold a private Celebration of Life for her on January 2, 2024, her 93rd birthday, at Cedar Ridge Christian Church in Coweta, OK.
