Betty June Brann, 95, passed away on June 5, 2026 at Porta Caeli House in Tulsa, OK. Born on June 22, 1930 to Edward "E.H." and Gearthel (Garretson) Geiger in Tulsa, OK, she was raised in a large and loving family as the eleventh of twelve children.

Betty graduated from Holy Family in 1948 and later married Don Cates in 1950. Together they built a beautiful life and raised four wonderful sons. Betty dedicated her life to creating a warm and loving home for her family. Her love, patience, and devout Catholic faith was an inspiration to all who knew her.

After Don's passing in 1989, Betty devoted herself even more to her faith and service to others. She found joy in her work with Catholic Daughters of America, Meals on Wheels, and Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and School.

Betty married Pete Brann in 1999 and they enjoyed many years together. She cherished the memories they made on their numerous travels across the United States and Canada.

Betty is preceded in death by Don Cates, Pete Brann, son Mike Cates, daughter-in-law Becky Cates, and stepson Phillip Brann, as well as her parents and siblings.

Betty is survived by sons Don Cates II, Dennis Cates (Toni), and Mitch Cates, and daughter-in-law Norma Cates; grandchildren Melissa Brown (Jeff), Ben Cates, Sarah Cates, Jason Cates, and Traci Cates (Andy Mallon); great-grandchildren Cole Brown (Ashley Nguyen), Gage Brown, and Dustin Davis. She is also survived by niece Diane Pegis (and family), nephew Dcn. Paul Louderback (and family), and niece Paula Jones (and family), along with numerous other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Porta Caeli House. The viewing is 10am - 8pm Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Family will receive friends at 6:00PM. The Rosary will begin at 7pm at Moore's Southlawn Funeral Home, 9350 E. 51st Street, Tulsa. The Funeral Mass is 10am, Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 1436 N. 67th E. Ave, Tulsa. Interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
