BETTY RUTH CLARK YOUNG

Born in Bartlesville to Earl W. & Delora Gehring Clark. Attended McKinley grade school, moved to Atchison, KS in Junior High, graduated from Atchison High, then Kansas State. Moved to Kansas City to work, met and married Harold W. Young, moved to Sacramento Ca., then L.A. and to Tulsa in Oct. of 1963.
She did real estate closings for several companies. Enjoyed bridge, book club and played golf. Long-time member of John Knox Presbyterian Church, also served as a Deacon and Trustee. She was past president of Chapter OX, P.E.O., Assistance League of Tulsa and Park Plaza Garden Club. At one time was active in Tulsa Women's Club, Tulsa Cerebral Palsy Assoc. and volunteered at Planned Parenthood.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Harold. Survivors are son Jim and his wife Mary Jo of Wadsworth, OH, and son Steve of Oologah and granddaughter Kristen of Tulsa.
A memorial service to celebrate Betty's life will be held at John Knox Presbyterian church on March 3, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to John Knox Memorial Fund, Assistance League of Tulsa or the charity of your choice.
