Mrs. Betty Lou Cornelison (n�e Blevins), age 96, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A devoted Christian and beloved member of her community, Betty lived a long and meaningful life rooted in faith, family, and kindness.
Born on September 13, 1928, in Missouri, Betty was the daughter of Claud Blevins and Genetta Harmon. She grew up surrounded by a large and loving family that instilled in her the values of compassion, hard work, and devotion to God-principles she carried with her throughout her life.
Betty was united in marriage to Virgil Cornelison in 1948 and they shared many cherished years. Together they raised their 2 sons, Donald Bruce and Michael Ray, with love and dedication.
As a woman of deep faith, Betty was a longtime member of the Woodland Christian Church. Her unwavering belief in the Lord guided every aspect of her life. She was known for her kind heart and generous spirit-always ready to lend a hand or offer a word of encouragement to those around her.
Betty found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved baking for family gatherings, sewing thoughtful gifts for loved ones, crocheting intricate patterns with care, tending to her garden with patience and pride, solving word puzzles with sharp wit, and even enjoying games of Wii Bowling well into her later years. These hobbies brought her happiness and were often shared with those she held dear.
She is lovingly remembered by her son Michael Cornelison and his wife Carol; grandsons; Greg Cornelison and his wife Corrie, Mark Elliott, Joel Elliott and his wife Melinda, Dale Cornelison and his wife Melissa, Alan Cornelison and his wife Heather, great-grandsons; Connor Elliott and his wife Julie, Ethan Elliott, Owen Elliott, Gabriel Elliott, Kyle Cornelison, and Kaden Cornelison; great- granddaughter Cora Elliott, great great-grandson Cooper Elliott brothers; Jack Blevins and Dale Blevins along with his wife Caroline; as well as many nieces and nephews who were touched by her warmth.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents Claud Blevins and Genetta Harmon; brother Donald Blevins; sister Juanita Davis; husband Virgil Cornelison and son Donald Cornelison.
Her legacy lives on through the generations she nurtured with love and faith. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her. A Graveside Service will be held on August 5, 2028, from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery 5111 S Memorial Dr, Tulsa, OK 74145
