Gadbois, Betty Winston, 92 of Tulsa passed away Monday, January 22nd, 2018. She was born April 18th, 1925 in New Madrid, MO to Thomas and Laura Winston. Her family moved to Tulsa where she attended Holy Family Catholic School. Betty married Frederick Gadbois and moved to Silver Spring, MD with Fred and his children. She loved her husband, family, and many decades of work (Executive Secretary at John Hopkins University, Applied Physics Lab) and play in Maryland. She remained lifelong friends with many of her colleagues from the Lab. Betty had many hobby's. One of her favorite past times was playing golf at Manor Country Club, where she and her family were members. She didn't go a day without eating dark chocolate and lived for travel, especially trips to the beach! You could often find her with her toes in the sand, a smile on her face, and a twinkle in her beautiful blue eyes. Betty returned to Tulsa in 2000 where she was a parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Betty is survived and will be missed by her children, Barbara Owens and her husband John of Denver, CO; Frederick Gadbois and his wife Mary of Las Vegas, NV; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; her sister Laura Birdsong of Tulsa; her niece, Laura Ward of Tucson, AZ and her nephew, Harold Ward and his wife KC Tran and four daughters of Wichita, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Frederick Gadbois; her life partner Bruce Holland; her sister, Mary "Colleen" Marsich and her brothers, Thomas Winston, Jr., Benjamin Winston and John Winston. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Pius X School "building fund."
