Obituary

Betty Bradley Greenwood was born in Muskogee, August 6, 1925, to Earl and Grace Bradley. She attended schools in Muskogee and Porter, graduating in 1943. She was selected by the Veterans of Foreign Wars to receive the award as "Most Outstanding Girl Based on Citizenship and Scholarship". She was also a member of the National Honor Society and was Valedictorian of her class.
After graduation, she went to the U.S. Army Post at Camp Gruber, where she lived and worked as a Telephone Operator for the next two years.
Betty married Carrol Greenwood in January, 1946. After living in several states, they moved to Tulsa in 1956.
During her career, she was the Executive Secretary to the District Manager of Jorgensen Steel Co. and later was the Executive Director of Tulsa Baptist Association.
After her retirement, she and Carrol traveled the world extensively and were avid golfers.
She was a member of Harvard Ave Baptist Church and later Ranch Acres Baptist Church where whe served her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ one of her greatest honors in life was offering a prayer at the Southern Baptist Convention in Houston.
Betty was a Christian, a Baptist and Republican. Visitation will be held at Moore's Rosewood Chapel, Friday, March 29. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday at Ranch Acres Church.
