Betty Jo Jackson passed away peacefully on June 30th, 2022 in the hospital surrounded by a host of loved ones, after fighting cancer for months.
She is survived by her husband, Donnie Jackson, of Sapulpa. Her daughter, Amy Holmes of Tulsa; her two grandchildren, Blake Holmes and Alexis Holmes of Tulsa; sister, Dee Glass; sister, Sandy Hellard; brother, Coy McBroom and wife, Kay McBroom; brother, Roy McBroom and wife, Dottie McBroom; brother, Cliff Crawford and wife, Karla Crawford; sister, Reta Bebermeyer and husband, Wes Bebermeyer; brother, Everett Crawford and wife, Lorinda Crawford; sister, Dot Bowling and husband, Danny Bowling; brother, Jerry Crawford and wife, Cindy Crawford; and brother, Ricky Crawford and wife, Mary Crawford. And a huge family full of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Betty is preceded in death by her mother, Anita Carpio; brother, Chuck Crawford and sister, Bernice Cardin. And she is being welcomed into heaven by her son, Jeremy Jackson. We fully believe she is squeezing him hard and celebrating their reunion.
Betty married Donnie in 1972, they would've celebrated 50 years of marriage this November. She worked in administrative positions over the years, most notably as a credit card debt collector for Shell Oil. She also worked for Tulsa World, where she retired. She was never busier than the years following her retirement. She poured her time into her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed seeing shows at the Tulsa PAC, getting her nails done, cooking, spending time with Blake and Alexis, drinking margaritas, shopping and helping with any family activities. She also loved listening to Elvis and watching her soap operas.
Her time on Earth will always be cherished by her friends and family. She is already missed so dearly. She is known for loving her family fiercely and she had a huge impact on all those she came in contact with.
A funeral service will be held for Betty at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 East 51st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma on Tuesday July 5th at 10am. Her burial service will immediately follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery, 5111 South Memorial Drive, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her immediate family will be at the funeral home from 4pm-6pm on Monday July 4th, if you would like to visit them.
