Betty Jean McNeilance died peacefully in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 10th, 2018 at the age of 85.
Betty is survived by her children Cynthia Ann McNeilance of Tulsa, Betsy M. Prall and her husband Kevin J. Prall of Tulsa; brother Floyd Franklin and sisters Shirley Davidson and Eleanor Jessee; granddaughter Alisha Henry Newton and great granddaughter Maddison Newton. She is preceded in death by both parents, her husband Alex McNeilance, her son John Duncan McNeilance and her sister Florence Franklin.
Betty Jean McNeilance was born on February 4th, 1933 in Turley, Oklahoma to Floyd and Eleanor Franklin. She graduated from Central High School in 1951. She married Alex McNeilance, a Tulsa Oilers Baseball Player, in 1955. After her children started school she began working for Tulsa Public Schools in the cafeteria and retired as the cafeteria manager for Tulsa Edison High School and Junior High.
Betty was accomplished at baking and often used her talent to help in the church's kitchen. She was a fun loving individual who loved OU football and who was passionate about helping out at the church in various areas. She was a dedicated member of Woodland Acres Baptist Church.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
