Betty Verne Meadows, 87, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Monday, August 3, 2015 in Tulsa, OK. Betty was born April 12, 1928, in Oklahoma City, OK, to Charles Edwin and Ila Verne (Fouts) Loranger. She graduated the University of Tulsa and earned her Master's degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX. A member of South Tulsa Baptist Church, Betty loved praising the Lord with her voice; she was the oldest and one of the most dedicated members of the church choir. Betty offered her artistic talents to the church for mission and service projects and spent much time supporting the ministry of her husband John. Additionally, she was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Tulsa.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 61 years, John Robert Meadows, in June 2015. She is survived by son Ronald Charles (Kay) Meadows of Lubbock, TX; daughter Kathryn Anne (Mark) Wright of Owasso, OK; grandchildren Kristen Martin (Kelly), Jared Wright, Pierce Meadows, Katelyn Wright, and Hannah Meadows. Her family remembers her as an incredibly devoted, loving, smart, sweet, and gracious mother and Nana.

Visitation will be 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Moore's Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK.
Service will be 10:30 A.M., Friday, August 7, 2015 at South Tulsa Baptist Church, 10310 S. Sheridan, Tulsa, OK.
