Betty Jean Turner, 88, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016 in Tulsa, OK. She was born in Mahaska, Kansas on April 15, 1928 to Harry and Hazel Peake. She was a nurse during WWII in Nebraska, and worked at Frougs, and owned a Bill & Ruth's Sub Shop in Tulsa.
Betty was married to Kenneth Turner for 68 years and was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Jerry. Betty is survived by her children: Bruce, Nancy (Scott) Stockton, Larry and Tim (Sharmee), 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
She loved gardening, quilting and watching the birds in her backyard. She also enjoyed gossiping with Wendy.
In lieu of flowers, buy birdseed and feed the birds.
