Betty Jane Underwood, 94,died November 13, 2013. She was born November 28, 1918 in Chelsea, Oklahoma. Her loving husband of 67 years, George Wesley Underwood, predeceased her. She is survived by her daughter Kay Beaubien and her husband Larry Beaubien: sons Gary D. Underwood and Ken Ray Underwood: four grandchildren, Emily Underwood, Robert Underwood, Elizabeth Beaubien and Jorjana Marx and husband Michael Marx and one great grandchild Stellan Wesley Marx. She graduated from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah with a degree in Education and enjoyed a long career teaching school, retiring from John Paul Jones Elementary School. She was a lifelong member of Will Rogers United Methodist Church. Betty had a passion for music her entire life and played the piano until the last days of her life. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Family Center at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, November 16, 2013. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to the Will Rogers United Methodist Church in her name.
