Betty M. Nelson Weigel was born May 26, 1926 and left this world to join our Lord on May 27, 2023.

She was born in the family farm house to Ed Nelson and Dorothy Street Nelson, growing up in a small farming community of Jamestown, Kansas. Betty was the oldest of the five siblings, Jean Nelson Wagner, Virginia Nelson Logan, James Nelson and Charles Nelson.

She was involved in her church, Saint Andrews, serving as a deacon, as a council member and in the prayer circle. Betty donated her time to a number of charitable organizations, including Meals on Wheels.

She loved her four granddaughters and her nine great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Virgil, her brother James, her brother Charles and her sister Jean.
