Obituary

Betty Nadine (Hagle) White, 83, peacefully passed this life on May 28, 2018 with her 4 children and multiple grandchildren at her side in Tulsa. Betty was born in Asher, Oklahoma on September 20, 1934 to Lawrence O. and Vera Beatrice Hagle. She has an older brother, Robert L. Hagle, living in Dallas, Texas. Betty graduated from High School in Gainesville, TX in 1952. Shortly thereafter, her brother Bob introduced her to Chris C. White, an engineer with Sinclair Oil Company. They were married on December 24, 1954 in Gainesville and the journey began. Over the next 25 years, they would raise 4 children and relocate with Sinclair 7 times (Gainesville, South America, Tulsa, Ardmore, Nowata, Oklahoma City, Drumright and finally back to Tulsa in 1970), keeping boxes packed and ready for the next adventure. Sadly, Chris passed away in Tulsa in 1980 shortly after celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary.

Betty was a devoted wife and mother which kept her very busy. She was very active with Girl Scouts, United Methodist Youth Fellowship, any sports her kids participated in, camping and boating. After her kids were raised, she started touching the lives of many other kids. She worked at Aldersgate United Methodist Church's Learning School teaching a 2 year old class for 25 years. Before she retired, she had kids who were children of prior students! Betty loved to tent camp and eventually trailer camp at the lake with her extended family. Family was everything to her. She loved to do arts and crafts, cross stitching, with her relatives and go to shows. Her friends always knew where to find her at the Fin & Feather Show. Most importantly, it was time spent with her family. Betty had her quality time with her kids. Traveling to dog shows with Beki, time at the cabin in Colorado with Rhonda and Jeff, time at the lake with Rick and Lori, and everything and anything with Penny. More importantly her 4 children provided her with 7 grandkids (1 by marriage). Whatever and wherever, if her grandkids were doing something, she was there. From marching band in East Texas, to little league baseball, basketball, softball, soccer, cross country meets, graduations, etc. she was there if her grandkids were there. Betty loved sports! The Texas Rangers baseball and University of Tulsa basketball and football teams lost a #1 fan!! A long time TU season ticket holder she rarely missed a game and she traveled with family to March Madness and Bowl games. She inherited her love for her Texas Rangers from her parents, long time devoted fans. She attended baseball games at Arlington and since 2011 she has traveled to Spring Training in Arizona with Rhonda, staying with Beki. Once again, time spent with her family. Her loving family included those who passed before her, Lawrence O. Hagle and Vera Beatrice Hagle (parents), Chris C. White (husband). Those living who will have a huge void in their lives include her brother, Robert L. Hagle of Dallas, children Beki Vale of Mesa, AZ; Rhonda Wright and her husband Jeff in Pritchett, TX and sons Chris and Will; Rick and his wife Lori in Edmond, OK and their children Megan and Matthew and his wife Taylor; and Penny Jervis of Broken Arrow and her two children Clayton and Marisa.
