Betty Jane Bolin was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Jan. 7, 1926. Her mother was Ethel Bolin and Betty was the youngest and last surviving of six children who included three sisters, Velma, Hazel. And Viola, and two brothers, Rufus and Wilbur. She never knew her father. Ethel moved the family to a farm in Arkansas where Betty had many fond memories of her childhood growing up with her brothers and sisters during the Great Depression. In her senior year of high school, she moved to Tulsa to live with her cousin, Dollie Hall, whom she had loved and admired her whole life. Betty graduated from Will Rogers High School and later married Pert Winfrey and had two children, Deanna and Ron. She had always worked and had several jobs in business including as secretary and in sales, accounting, and the job she most enjoyed as purchasing agent. After Betty and Pert divorced, she later married Quentin Clock. They took a trip to Australia where Quentin`s daughter lived and had many joyful memories of that trip. They later parted and she met a neighbor, Leonard Henry, with whom she enjoyed years of traveling, fishing, and camping. She and her daughter, Deanna, bought a house together in 1998 and lived together for the last 25 years of her life. She is survived by her daughter, Deanna Lawson of Broken Arrow, son Ron Winfrey of Garner, North Carolina, 5 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. She will be buried next to her mother and brother, Wilbur, in Memorial Park Cemetery.
