Obituary

Beverly Ann Warren was born May 18, 1935 in Chelsea, OK and passed from this life September 10, 2023 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 88. Beverly was the only child of Garrett and Madeline Stone. Beverly was raised in Nowata, OK, graduating from Nowata High School in 1953. After high school, she went to Business School to learn secretarial skills and worked for Ma Bell as a switchboard operator. On July 18, 1956, she married Orville Lee Warren, moving immediately to Chicago, IL to be by his side while Orville served in the U.S. Air Force. During this time, she worked as a secretary on the O'Hare Air Force base.

Beverly and Orville returned to Bartlesville, OK in 1958. Here they added to their family by welcoming Bradley Russell (deceased) and twins, Pamela Sue and Paula Sue. While living in Bartlesville, Orville and Beverly attended and served as youth leaders at the Dewey Church of God. They relocated to Garden City, KS where they welcomed Phillip Scott and then returned to the Tulsa area, completing the family with their youngest, Paul Stephen. In 1971 the family moved to make their home in West Tulsa for approximately 30 years.

For 25 years, Beverly served as the church secretary for Red Fork Church of God, working with more than seven pastors. Holding this position while attending the church, she served the congregation in numerous teaching, board and coordinator positions over the years. Beverly was also very active in the Women of the Church of God (WCG), state and national Church of God boards and at the Bristow COG Campgrounds.

Beverly (Nana) happily retired, looking forward to taking care of her grandchildren whenever the opportunity arose. She was known for spoiling the grandkids with their favorite breakfast anytime they stayed with Nana and Papa (Orville). She and Orville last resided in Sapulpa, OK, celebrating 62 years of blessed marriage before Orville passed away in 2019. She remained in their Sapulpa home and continued attending Red Fork Church of God until her recent move to Brookdale Memory Care.

Beverly is survived by her children, Pamela Sue Smith and Paula Sue Warren of Tulsa, Phillip Scott Warren and wife Sherri of Glenpool, and Paul Stephen Warren and wife Jennifer of Sanger, Texas. Grandchildren Stephen Smith, Stephanie Smith, Troy Percefull, Tyler Percefull, Shane Warren, Megan Warren, Zachary Warren, and Maygen Fisher, as well as many cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Warren, son, Bradley Warren, and parents, Garrett and Madeline Stone.

Memorial services will take place on Monday, September 18, 2023 at 11:00 am at Red Fork Church of God. Graveside service will follow, taking place at 2:30 pm at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, where Beverly will be laid to rest with her soul-mate Orville.
