Obituary

William Joseph (Billy Joe) Jueschke passed away in his sleep April 10, 2019 at age 83. Bill was born in Tonkawa, Ok. on May 3, 1935 and was raised on the family farm in Marland, Ok., the youngest of 4 children. After graduating from High School he worked for the railroad for a year until he married his High School sweetheart Bonnie Jean McDaniel, a local farm girl. After their marriage they moved to Borger, TX where they both worked for Phillips Petroleum Company. After the birth of their daughter, Bill did a stint in the Army Reserves in New Orleans. Afterwards Phillips Petroleum relocated the family to Bartlesville, OK. Bill enjoyed being close to "home" so he could spend his weekends working with his family on the family farms. In Bartlesville they bought their first house and their son was born. In 1979 the family moved with Phillips to Stavanger, Norway where they lived for the next 9 years. Bill enjoyed his work projects, loved traveling especially to Germany where his family originated from. He was very excited on one of those trips to find a shoe store that had a stained glass sign window with the name Jueschke on it. Bill was a very hard worker but he enjoyed several hobbies too. He loved 101 Ranch history and even had a few stories of his own to tell about growing up in that area. He loved to hunt. When in Bartlesville, he often took his son deer hunting. In more recent years they enjoyed yearly hunting trips together in Arizona, training their dogs and hunting for quail. Bill also enjoyed several hunting trips with his nephew Tommy Murray in South Dakota. But Bill's main hobby was farming. HE LOVED FARMING. After his retirement at age 64.5 he began farming full time. Eventually he would buy the farm he was raised on and the farm Bonnie was raised on. He loved the hard work, the cattle, the farming community (many people he grew up with) and working with his eldest brother Leo Jueschke and his nephew Tommy Murray. As the brothers aged it was hilarious listening to 2 "hard of hearing" men talking (YELLING) on their cell phones about the weather, rain, and calves everyday.
