Bill W. Van Sickle, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was 84. Born on September 7, 1940, in Morris, Oklahoma, to the late Ralph and Laura Van Sickle, Bill's life was a testament to his strong spirit and unwavering dedication.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business from Oklahoma State University, which set the foundation for a long and successful career as a Certified Public Accountant. He was respected for his sharp mind and his meticulous approach to his work.
Above all, Bill was a devout Christian who truly lived his faith. He practiced daily devotions, and his life was a testament to his love for God and others.
Outside of his career, Bill's greatest passion was fishing. He found immense joy and peace on his regular trips with his brother, Clyde, and his dear friend, Bud. Bill and Charlotte loved their yearly trips to Red River, a place he held dear. He was a man of quiet strength and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Charlotte Van Sickle, and his daughter, Julie Roark.
Bill is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Barbara Van Sickle; his daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Mark Denny; and his many grandchildren, Daniel and his wife Racheal, Sarah and her husband Jeff, Ryan, Travis and his wife Sasha, and Asher.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Moore Funeral Home - Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145 with Dr. Eric Costanzo officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clarehouse Hospice in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
