Billie Jean "Jeannie" Hammer was born on Sept. 11, 1951, to Willie E. Burnett and Doris A. Burnett. Jeannie passed from this world at home, surrounded by her family, on Dec. 20, 2024.

Jeannie is preceded in death by her father, Bill Burnett and her mother, Doris Morgan.

Jeannie is survived by her husband of 43 years, Billy H. Hammer, her sisters Sharon Letzkus (husband Don) and Peggy Anderson (husband Steve). She is also survived by her two Children, Todd Gourd (wife Kim) and Kilee Hammer-Subramaniam (husband Jay). Grandchildren Courtnie Dallas (husband Josh), Kenzie Lamb, Michael "Jared" Gourd, and Levi Subramaniam. Jeannie is also survived by great-grandson Maddox Dallas along with many loved cousins, nephews, nieces and beloved dogs Sophie, Riley, and Emmie.

Jeannie enjoyed spending time with family, especially her two little "baby boys" Maddox and Levi. She often watched shopping channels and would surprise family members with something she thought they would like or that she wanted them to have. Jeannie had a giving heart and frequently gave to pet rescues.

Jeannie also enjoyed hosting the monthly "Blingo" party for family at her home in Owasso. One of her greatest joys was decorating her home for Christmas and hosting the annual Christmas Eve gathering of family and friends.


A Memorial Visitation where family will be receiving friends will be held 11am - 2pm, Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Skiatook Paws and Claws Animal Rescue .
