West, Billie June 90, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014. Billie was born June 1, 1923 in Grove, Ok to George Washington & Ruby Ellen (Sanders) Baker.
After high school, Billie went to work for Meadow Gold in Tulsa where she met the love of her life, Kennith D West, they were married for 60 years. Ken preceded Billie in death in 2003.
After the war they began a career together in real estate both were brokers and formed the Fairway Reality Co. Where they were instrumental in the development of Indian Springs Country Club in Broken Arrow.
Billie loved their many homes and fishing on Grand Lake she also loved to play cards ,and watch football on TV as well as going to Las Vegas when she could work it in their schedule. They were lifelong members of Highland Park Christian Church /Eastland Hills Christian Church.
Billie was preceded by 1 brother Gaylord Baker 3 sisters Mildred Bolding-Mobley, Foy Tatum,& Charlotte Sanders; 2 nephews Mike Tatum & Gregg Sanders; niece Sue Beth Miller. Survived by 2 nieces & 2 nephews, KayLou Hamilton & husband Tommy of Inola, Terry Wayne Baker of Carlsbad, NM, Phillip Dalton Tatum &wife Sharon of Las Vegas, NV, Georgia Lynn Steele & husband Dennis of Broken Arrow. In addition Billie had many great nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.
A celebration of Billie's life will be 2 p.m., Friday, May 2, 2014. Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 East 51st Street, Tulsa OK 74145. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be all day Thursday, Moore's Southlawn Chapel.
