Billy S Yeakey, Jr, dearly loved husband, brother, father, "Poppy/Popsters/Papa", and friend, entered eternity Friday, November 18, 2022.
Bill was born on January 14, 1952, in Tulsa to Bill and Norma Yeakey, and was the oldest of two children. He married his high school sweetheart, Deborah K Stewart in 1971.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Norma Yeakey. He is survived by his sister, Sandy Yeakey, his wife of 51 years, Debbie (Stewart) Yeakey, five children: Billy S. Yeakey III (Kathleen), Brandi Cagwin (Dennis), Brooke Houston (Ryan), Brett Yeakey (Joey), Bethany Padgett (Chris). Fifteen grandchildren: Aidan and Ronan Yeakey; Isabelle, Wesley, Chloe, and Wyatt Cagwin; Gabriel, Jaycee, Sophie, Levi, Beck, Sam, and Lucy Houston; Dax and Hank Padgett.
A graduate of Nathan Hale Highschool and OSU, Bill was an accountant, consultant, and business owner of first, Yeakey's Neighborhood Grocery and later, Master Packaging, Inc. until retiring in 2017.
Bill and Debbie resided in Tulsa until moving to acreage in Sand Springs where they enjoyed country life with their dogs, Kai (deceased) and Ginger. He was a volunteer firefighter, and a reluctant gardener, and loved his shop, truck, and tractor.
Bill will be remembered as a teacher, a moral compass to many, a rock, a gentleman, articulate, dependable, consistent, and extremely organized having folders for folders. He could be controlling and generous, abrasive and loving, and exceptionally slow to change. He had a quick wit and an affinity for data and spreadsheets. Bill would want to be remembered for his relationship with Jesus, his fierce love and devotion to his beloved wife, and the honor it was for him to be her caregiver and companion.
Love you! Always have. Always will.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests any memorial donations be made to Samaritans Purse International Relief, MEND Medical Services, or St Jude Children's Research Hospital in honor of Billy S. Yeakey, Jr.
