Blake Lee Hughes was born on March 15, 1993 and left this world on December 31, 2021. He was born and died in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is survived by his great-grandmother, Doris Peters, his grandparents, Ernest and Janis Hughes, his mother, Sheri Bedford, and his siblings, Holly McIntyre, Molly Dempsey, Jacob Hughes, and Ashlynd Vaughn. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Makenna McIntyre, Caitlyn McIntyre, Brielle McIntyre, Audrey McIntyre, Gracin Gates, Nikola Dempsey, and Kingsley Bolton.

Blake was an electrical lineman. This field of work suited his daredevil, adventurous spirit perfectly. He was able to participate in a challenging, interesting field while exploring new places around the country. Additionally, Blake loved being outdoors and living in the moment. He took every opportunity to go camping, hiking, and fishing. Some of our best moments with Blake were during these times.

Blake never met a stranger and was always the life of the party. He had a very active social life and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He could light up the room with his smile and shining blue eyes. His laugh was always open, genuine, and loud! Truly unforgettable. He might've been the hammiest person I've ever known. There were very few pictures that could be found where Blake wasn't making faces or hamming it up. Even in the face of his loss, Blake is still making people laugh! He was also very generous with his amazing bear hug that could make anyone feel loved and appreciated. His laughter and hugs will be greatly missed. His absence is a terrible loss to us all and I pray that sharing our grief will lift some of the burden left in the wake of this profound loss.

Although Blake's life was brief, it was both bright and memorable. Let us be thankful that our cherished memories of Blake will live forever in our hearts and minds.
