Obituary

Bob Clinton Lees was born to John Clinton and Anna Mae Lees on July 18, 1931 in Tulsa Oklahoma. At 82 years, 9 months, and 17 days, his spirit was taken from this life to join our Heavenly Father on May 5, 2014. Bob married Alice Field in 1953 and to this union bore four children. In 1992 Bob married Maxine Latty and they have spent the past 22 years travelling, ministering to others, and enjoying children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends.
Bob graduated from Tulsa, Will Rogers High School, The University of Tulsa, and Northwestern University of Chicago, Illinois. He began his teaching career in 1953 with Owasso Public Schools as their Director of Bands. Mr. Lees then, taught at Tulsa, Bell Jr. High, Tulsa, Foster Jr. High, Tulsa, Central High School, and finished at Tulsa, Emerson Elementary School in its piano lab.
Along with his public school employment, he gave private piano instruction, served as a church organist for Tulsa congregations at Memorial Christian Church, Rogers Heights Christian Church, Immanuel Baptist Church, Eastwood Baptist Church, First Baptist Church, Inola and, First Christian Church of Tulsa. Bob also was accompanist for the Tulsa Boy Choir. After serving thirty years in Oklahoma public education, Bob retired and partnered with Son, Steven in the world of retail business as the co-proprietor of two Baskin Robbins Ice Cream store franchises.
After several years he also retired from that enterprise. Bob was reborn into God's spiritual Kingdom as a boy through the faith influence of his parents. Bob was a 32nd Degree Mason and always held that honor of service to God and mankind close to his heart.
Bob Lees is survived by his loving wife, Maxine of the home, son Larry Lees and wife Donna of Pryor, OK, son Deril Lees and wife Robbin of Tulsa, OK, daughter Pamela Beck and husband David of Inola, OK, son Steven Lees of Tulsa, OK and his former wife Julie Lees of Broken Arrow, OK, and stepson Garry Latty of Tulsa, OK. Bob's grandchildren are Clinton Lees and wife Molly of Ft Rucker, AL, Alyssa Sanders and husband Derek of Inola, OK, Kasey Jackson and husband Jake of Coral Gables, FL, Deril James Lees, Jr. and wife Sarah of Tulsa, OK, Cory Beck and wife Casey of Tulsa, OK, Ryan Beck of Inola, OK, Lauren Lees of Broken Arrow, OK, BreAnna Lees of Broken Arrow, OK, and Cole Weant and wife Carol of Krugerville, TX . Great grandchildren number ten and are Wyatt, Charly, and Rylee Sanders, Colin and Carter Jackson, Deril James Lees, III, Ella Kate, Scarlett, and Francie Belle Lees, and Ethen Cole Weant. Bob is also survived by cousin, Johnny McRee and wife Eva of Yukon, OK, the Miller family of whom Bob's wife Maxine, is the matriarch and, distant relatives along with a host of friends, colleagues, and Kingdom family. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M., Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Moore's
Eastlawn, 1908 S. Memorial, Tulsa. Memorial service will be 2:30 P.M., Friday, May 9, 2014 at Boston Avenue United Methodist Church, 1301 S. Boston, Tulsa.
