Bob T. McClendon, 83, died Thursday, May 29, 2014, Tulsa, OK. Bob was born November 13, 1930, Savanna, OK to Millard & Jewell (Knepper) McClendon. The family moved to Arizona soon after Bob's birth. Bob attended Arizona State University where he joined the ROTC. After graduation (earning his BA in Business), Bob joined the Air Force. After basic training he was on his way to Korea when his orders were cancelled. After a month or two exploring Europe with a good friend, he went to work for General Telephone in California. Bob would stay there until his retirement in 1988. He retired as Vice President-Operations, General Telephone SW.

Bob met and married Huguette (Masse) in 1960. It was love at first sight as Huguette was looking for employment and even though her English was limited Bob hired her on the spot to be a telephone operator. Bob is survived by his sons: Mike McClendon, Tulsa, OK, Mark McClendon, his Fiancé, Susan Ogden and one granddaughter, Alayna. Preceded in death by his parents; wife and siblings.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Antony's Church, 2645 E. 6th, Tulsa, OK. Trisagion service Monday, June 1, 2014 at 7:00 P.M.at St. Antony's and service will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 2, 2104 at St Antony's. Interment following at Floral Haven Cemetery, Broken Arrow.
