Dr. Bob L. Myers, 79, retired Veterinarian and entrepreneur, cherished father, friend and family man, died on January 7, 2013. He was born in 1933 in Long Beach California. He is survived by, daughter Debra Thomas, son Jack and wife Kimberly Myers, daughter Diana and Greg Gilbert, daughter Paula and husband John Dellavedova, daughter Marci Myers, and son Marc Myers. Grandchildren Joshua Thomas, Molly, Megan, and Jake Myers, Tara, Cole and Rose Gilbert, Garrett and Miles Dellavedova. He spent his childhood years in Great Bend and Scott City Kansas.
After high school he enlisted in the Marine Corps. When returning home he met and married Francis Gaschler. He entered Kansas State University and completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and achieved the prestigious ?Upjohn Award?. During his time in Veterinary School he also had ?Six? children. After graduation he moved his family to Tulsa where he opened his Veterinary Hospital.
Following his retirement form Veterinary Medicine he opened Reflections and Valentino?s one of Tulsa?s first and largest nightclubs and restaurants.
In 1983 because of his love of the ocean, he moved to California where he pursued many different ventures. He owned and operated ?Own a Phone? a pay telephone company that serviced many significant airports including LAX. Although Bob never officially retired he lived his dream on his Yacht he named ?The Allure?. This became this vacation destination for all family and many friends. Bob is well known for his ability to take any occasion large or small and make it a bigger than life event.
