Bob Thacker, 89, of Tulsa died Dec. 17, 2014 in Tulsa. He was born May 22, 1925 in Hydro, OK, a son of the now late Coy and Muriel (Tate) Thacker.

A Navy Lieutenant, he was a WW II veteran, a retired President and engineer for the Dresser Engineering Co, a member of the New Haven United Methodist Church and Tulsa Country Club. He was a past member of Oklahoma Society of Professional Engineers and "Who's Who in America". He married the former Dorothy Harmening on Aug. 27, 1949 in Oklahoma City.

In addition to his wife Dorothy, he is survived by 2 daughters, Pamela Kantner and her husband Keith of Tulsa and Jacqueline Thacker of Long Beach, CA; a sister, Vernice Lou Ware of Bartlesville; and 2 grandchildren, Daniel and Jillian Fisher both of Long Beach, CA.

Viewing will be on Monday, Dec. 22, 2014 – 2 PM until 4 PM at the Moore Southlawn Chapel, Tulsa. Funeral services will be on Tuesday Dec. 23, 2014 – 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow with military honors at Memorial Park Cemetery.
