Bobby Lee Mann, 77, passed away early Saturday morning, June 12, 2021. He was surrounded in love when he passed with his family present.
Bob was born January 1, 1944, in Checotah, Oklahoma, to Joe and Cora Belle Mann. He was raised with his family in Checotah and began working in his father's local blacksmith shop at the age of nine where he continued to develop his blacksmith skills. He moved to Tulsa in 1966 and began working at Truk' Quip as a commercial truck equipment installer. He continued his career in management there until he and Lucille purchased the company in 1996. Bob was an extremely hard worker with an aptitude for mechanical engineering. He was recognized for his ability to devise creative solutions for construction and mechanical applications. His grandchildren said, "Grandpa can fix anything," and their projects were his most cherished.
Bob is survived by his wife, Lucille, son, Bobby Jr., daughter, Kim Doak, stepson, Trent Snider, stepdaughter, Tracy Thomas, and grandchildren, Kevin, Christopher, Langley, and Logan.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Mann, and his parents.
Closed casket memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 16, at 10:00 a.m., Moore Funeral Home-Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa.
Graveside prayer will follow at 1:00 p.m., Greenlawn Cemetery, E 1080 Rd, Checotah.
