Obituary

Bobby Wayne Ratliff, age 79 years, went home to be with his Savior on Monday June 28,2021, in Tulsa, OK. Bobby was born on September 21, 1941, in Tulsa OK, to Harold (Bob) & Leiva (Lee) Ratliff. He attended many public schools, graduating in 1960 from Central High School. He went onto college, graduating from O.S.U. with a Bachelor's degree, in Police Science. Bobby was a kind and generous man who enlisted in the U.S. Army to serve his country from 1968 until 1976, as a Military Police Officer (M.P.). Bobby served as a dedicated M.P., in Vietnam (1968-69). Hence forth serving in various duty stations in Germany & the U.S. Following his discharge Bobby was employed at the Veteran's Administration, in Muskogee & Tulsa. He served in the capacity of a Field Officer, in the Fiduciary Department, working to procure much deserved benefits for service-connected disabled Veterans until his retirement.
Following retirement, Bobby volunteered another 12 years at Disabled American Veterans, Tulsa Chapter 32 with veterans returning to civilian life to gain their awards of their disability claims and benefits. He served on the board as the treasurer. Many hundreds of Veterans were awarded their benefits and rights, due to Bobby's diligence and tenacious compassion.
Concurrently, Bobby served as legal guardian for untold numbers of medically incompetent veterans. His dedication and sense of patriotism never faded, even as his own health began to decline. He was known for his quick wit, sense of orneriness, generosity, and passionate nature particularly with family. He was known for being our "Protector" and for being our "Family Patriarch".
Bobby married, Connie Hutchins, Longley, Ratliff, on June 23, 1995, at CUMC, after meeting there at a Divorce Recovery workshops in 1994. Together, they blended a family consisting of one son and four daughters.
Bobby is preceded in death by: father, Bob, mother, Lee, baby son Allan Wayne, son Gary & brothers, Norman & Terry. He is survived by : wife, Connie, sister, Marla Bond, daughters, LeeAnn Culbert (Kenny), Teri Declercq, Michelle Maldonado (Nelson), Jessica Jones (Andrew). Grandchildren: Kelli Ridge, Justin Ridge (Heather), Nicole Emmel (Joe), Caitlin Longley, Jackson Longley, Cash Jones, Michael Culbert, Chase Ridge Sr. (Jessica), Cassilyn Ridge, Jessica Maldonado, Tiffany Maldonado, & Madyson Maldonado. Great Grandchildren: Cayden, Carter, CoraLynn, Cloie, Zander, Isaiah, Landen, Gunner, Hunter, Chase Jr., Jaxson, Blaslynn, Gracie, Shelby, Malachi, & Zayden.
Funeral arrangements are through Moore's South lawn Funeral Home, Tulsa, OK. Services as follow: Viewing, Thursday July 1, 2021 at 12-8pm, Visitation 6-8pm. Memorial Services, July 2, 2021 at 1pm, to be held at Moore's South lawn Chapel, Tulsa, OK.

A private inurnment at Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Rites, at a later date.
