Bobby Gene Watson, Sr. age 95 of Coweta died Thursday, November 20, 2025 in Tulsa. He was born July 5, 1930 in Tulsa to Lee Watson and Beatrice (Bowers) Watson. His father died when he was 4 months old, and Beatrice married Jack Burke who helped her raise Bobby.
He married Jolene Turner in June of 1949. She preceded him in death in 2011.
He worked as a PBX Installer for Southwestern Bell where he retired after 34 years of service. He an avid golfer and enjoyed ballroom dancing and horse racing. He was an OU Sooner's fan and attended all of the home games for several years.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Jim Watson; and 2 half-brothers, Carl Burke and Lewis Burke.
He is survived by his son, Bobby Watson, Jr; granddaughter Jayme Guthrie; and 4 great granddaughters.
Cryptside service will take place 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 11th at Memorial Park Cemetery.
