Bonnie Louise Jackson (nee Kivett), age 79, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Born on May 11, 1945, in Louisville, Kentucky, Bonnie was the daughter of Lawrence (Bud) and Earlene Kivett.
In 1969, Bonnie graduated from Saint Joseph's School of Nursing, embarking on a nearly 50-year career in Pediatrics and later Orthopedics, always dedicating herself to helping others. Her work in nursing reflected her deep commitment to service and her nurturing nature. Whether caring for patients or supporting loved ones, she brought empathy and strength to every role she held.
Bonnie shared many years of marriage with her beloved husband, Richard L. (LeRoy) Jackson. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Elizabeth (Beth) Payne Roe and son-in-law John L. Roe of Winter Garden, Florida. Bonnie was a proud grandmother to Alison Tyler-Clark and her husband Brad, Ethan Roe and his wife Kelsey, Gracie Baggett and her husband Will, and Jack Roe. Her legacy continues through her eight great-grandchildren who she loved dearly.
Bonnie is also survived by her brother Earl Kivett of Wellesley, Massachusetts; her sister Virginia Kivett of Tulsa, Oklahoma; as well as two nieces and two nephews who were part of the extended family she held dear.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Richard.
Bonnie will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her kindness touched many lives across generations. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
