In Loving Memory of Brady Scott Wilburn
July 21, 1965 - June 29, 2025
Brady Scott Wilburn was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and passed away peacefully at home in Broken Arrow on June 29, 2025, after a courageous battle with bone cancer. He spent his final days surrounded by family and visiting loved ones, with his people, his wife's plants, his jersey collection, and of course his Hot Wheels and model cars alike - exactly where he wanted to be.
Brady earned an Associate degree in Civil Drafting and Design, though he'd tell you he didn't go much further with it. Instead, he built a remarkable 40-year career with Sam's Club, starting early in merchandising and staying loyal until his passing. He took pride in his work, the friendships he built, and the countless pallets he organized to perfection.
Outside of work, Brady was a man of many passions:
Sports - football, baseball, hockey, women's professional soccer, and drag racing (where he was a lifelong spectator and part-time couch commentator).
Cars - real ones and over 2,000 Hot Wheels he carefully curated throughout his life.
Plants - mostly purchased "for Kayla," despite telling her "this is the last one" every single time.
Air shows - he proudly witnessed performances by both the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels.
Sweets - he never missed a chance for a treat, with banana Laffy Taffy ranking at the very top of his list.
Dogs - he had a passionate love for his goofy, slightly spoiled dog Snoopy, whom he "trained" to dump every chew toy out right after he'd cleaned them up - and he absolutely loved taking Snoopy on joy rides, windows down, ears flapping free.
His favorite travel destination was St. Louis, home of his beloved Cardinals and Blues, while his football loyalty forever belonged to the Dallas Cowboys. Fittingly, he will be laid to rest wearing both his Cowboys and Cardinals jerseys - because Brady never saw a reason to choose when he could represent them all.
Brady was deeply loving, fiercely loyal, and quietly generous, with a humor that could light up even the hardest days. His life was rich with love, memories, and a touch of stubborn practicality that made him uniquely him.
Survived by:
His loving partner, Kayla, the jelly to his peanut butter.
His daughter Abby Clark and husband Ryan Clark, with children Olivia and Evelyn.
His step children, Holly Sides, with children Andrew, Emerson, Braden, and Kinsley.
Michelle Salsbury and her partner John, with children Achilles, Kelsey, and Makaela.
Jamie Smith and husband Daniel, with children Shelby and Emma Smith.
Scott Sides and wife Madison, with their son Jordan.
His mother, Patricia Ann Wilburn.
His brother, Bart Wilburn, and Bart's child Reagan.
He was endlessly proud of all his grandkids, who brought him immeasurable joy and laughter.
Brady is also survived by many friends and coworkers who will carry forward his memory with love and laughter.

Instead of flowers, Brady would probably prefer you buy yourself a new Hot Wheel, cheer on your favorite team, grab a banana Laffy Taffy, or sneak home another plant for someone you love - just like he always did.
