Brooke Ashley Martin of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed away in her home on November 29th at the age of 37. Brooke was born to Pam and Craig Martin on August 2nd, 1987 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She had 4 siblings, Jessica Waller, Ryan Martin, Aaron Martin and Alec Martin. Brooke loved each of her siblings tremendously, even when they picked on her.
Brooke's love for life could be seen most evidently in the joy she found in all things outdoors, or as she would say, in all things "country." A true country girl at heart, she loved spending time shooting guns, camping, and riding Razors or 4-wheelers. Brooke's big heart could be seen in her fervent love for all animals, especially her beloved mastiff mix, Nova. Her big heart also housed an immense love for her nieces and nephews, who she truly loved and spoiled as though they were her own. She was the kind of aunt who would pick up her nieces for a drive to talk and share her favorite music, and would happily let them take some of her makeup home after bonding over beauty tips and tricks. Brooke enjoyed her work in the legal field as well, performing a variety of roles over the course of her career.
Brooke is survived by her mother, Pam Martin, siblings Jessica Waller (Steve Brison), Ryan (Rhonda Martin), Aaron and Alec Martin, several aunts and uncles, and an abundance of nieces and nephews, DeAndre Chippis, Tyler Chippis, Cameron Chippis, Shea Chippis, Averee Chippis, Gabe Chippis, Kenady Martin, Ella Ezell and Easton Martin. She is preceded in death by her father, Craig Martin, her Grandparents and Uncle.
Brooke's family will miss her dearly, as is demonstrated in this loving poem by her father, Craig:
Now I hope the tears shall dry and joy shall come for death
To me it is not an end, yet the start of a new experience.
As a proverb which I have always enjoyed foretells,
"Happiness is not a destination but yet a journey."
Now my journey has begun again.
