BROWN JOYNER

JOYNER, Ivey Brown, 85, born October 20, 1929 in Greenville, NC, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in Tulsa, OK .

He retired from Frito Lay after 28 years in sales and also as a crossing guard for Jenks East Elementary School after 20 plus years. He was veteran of the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Preceded in death by wife of 55 years, Becky Joyner. Survived by two sons, Marc Joyner of Tulsa, OK, and Phillip Joyner and wife, Wendy of Harveysburg, OH; daughter, Suzanne Jones and husband, Rick of Prairie Grove, AR; four loving grandchildren, Kelly and Aaron Joyner of Harveyburg, OH, Bryan Jones of Prairie Grove, AR, and Matt Jones of Wichita, KS; four brothers, Marvin Joyner and wife, Opal of Charlottesville, VA, Willis Joyner, Donald Joyner and wife, Lulu of Greenville, NC, Jimmy Joyner and wife, Pat of Graham, NC; and two sisters, Lavern Brock and husband, Jack of Winterville, NC, and Jean Haddock of Ayden, NC.

Visitation will be 3:00-5:00 P.M., Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Moore's Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa. Memorial service will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Asbury United Methodist Church-Mason Chapel.
