Brooks, Bruce V. Jr., 77, transcended Saturday, July 26, 2014. He was born in Tulsa, OK on April 20, 1937 to Bruce V. and Mary Faye (Marriott) Brooks Sr. Bruce served his country from 1962-1965 in the U.S. Army. After completing college on the G.I. Bill, he joined the Tulsa Fire Department and retired as a Captain in 1985. He also owned Brooks Custom Spraying for 50 years. Pre-deceased family includes his Mother and Father, his beloved Grand Daughter, Skyla, his brother in law Joe Bob Weldon and nephew Jim Weldon and great nephew Kyle Weldon. Bruce is survived by his wife of 48 years, Robyn. They had an enviable marriage punctuated by family, friends and time spent at their Lake Hudson Getaway. Other surviving family members include his devoted son, Rance, his beloved step daughter Misti Kehoe, his much loved sister, Beverly Brooks Weldon, and his dear Nephew Steven Weldon & his family. Bruce was known for his sarcastic wit, his amazing cooking, his daily "Board Meetings", where he laughed and joked with fellow Retired Fire Fighters and friends, and we can never forget his love of the Republican Party.
