Bruce Merle Lovelace, Sr. 75 of the Lake Hudson area in OK was born on August 3, 1903 in Benedict, KS to Horace C. Lovelace and Nora Paennici (sp.?) Lovelace and died in Tulsa, OK from lung cancer at St. Francis Hospital on October 10, 1978. Bruce came to Tulsa in 1933. He retired as Chief Investigator for McDonnell Douglas in 1966. Prior to that, he was Chief Criminal Deputy under George Blaine. Bruce was also a former Government Investigator. After retirement, he owned and operated Cherokee Farms, where he raised Tennessee Walking Horses and Polled Herefords. In 1973, he retired and moved to Lake Hudson Area, where he and his wife Nancy traveled extensively. Bruce was a member of the United Methodist Church of Pryor, OK.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy, of the home; daughter, Mary Ann Lovelace of San Diego, CA; 3 sons: Bruce, Jr. of Plaquemine, LA, Larry, of Alamo, CA, and Don of San Diego, CA; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grand children; and sister, Mrs. John Atkinson of Amarillo, TX.
Service is at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October,12, 2018 at Moore's Eastlawn Chapel with Interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
