Buck Alan Rudd, beloved husband, father, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 4th, 2025, at the age of 84. He was born to William Clayton Rudd and Ruth Irene (Wadley) Rudd on February 11, 1941, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Buck was preceded in death by his sisters Billie, Norma, and Beverly. He is survived by his wife, Linda, and his two children, Kyla and Adam, both of Tulsa.
Buck grew up on the west side of Tulsa and graduated from Webster High School in 1959. He enlisted in the Navy in 1960 and served until 1964 as an Electronics Technician on board the USS Grapple. In 1965, Buck enrolled at Northeastern State University, which is where he met the love of his life, Linda. They married after graduation in 1968. Buck worked for Tulsa County as Director of Building Operations until his retirement in 2006.
Buck enjoyed playing golf, traveling, and watching sports. He was an avid antique clock collector and a member of the Green Country Clock Club Cherokee Chapter. He found joy in helping coach Kyla and Adam during their early softball, baseball, and football years. Buck was a very kindhearted and outgoing man with an infectious sense of humor. He always enjoyed engaging with others and never met a stranger.
Service and burial will be held at Fort Gibson National Cemetery on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 2:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Wild Heart Ranch in Claremore, Oklahoma.
