Buford S. Swartwood, 85, of Tulsa passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011. He was born April 9, 1925, in Stonebluff, OK, raised by Ulsa and Nellie Williams. He graduated from Haskell High School. Served in the Navy during WWII and was stationed at Admiralty Islands, South Pacific. Attended Northeastern State University and graduated in 1950. He was a loving husband and best friend to Anna with whom he celebrated 64 years of marriage on December 4, 2010, and a loving father and best friend to his daughter, Anita Morse. He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Paul Morse. He's a retired sales engineer and was a Mason. Buford was 1982 "Tribune Bowler of the Year." He enjoyed bowling, boating, fishing, hunting, traveling, yard work and reunions with his WWII Navy friends. Graveside Service 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 5, 2011, Memorial Park Cemetery.
