Obituary

Buster Lee Craft. 82 of Tulsa, Oklahoma, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 25, 2026, with his wife by his side.

Buster was born on March 15, 1943, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Frank and Anna Dickerson Craft. He had an older brother and sister, Paul and Judy. After his mother's death in 1945 when he was only two years of age, the family moved to Tulsa. He attended Tulsa schools, including Central High School Class of 1961. He married Wanda McAlister on July 20, 1962. They were married 63 years. Buster and Wanda were blessed with three sons: Scott, Mark and Rick.

The Craft home was filled with music from the beginning. Their love for God, music and family was the foundation of their home. They were lifelong members of the Church of the Nazarene.

Buster had the most beautiful bass voice and, with his wife and children, was blessed to travel to various churches in Oklahoma and surrounding states to share his faith and talent.

His career involved one company, North American Aviation (with several name changes), and retired after 40 years from Boeing. Afterward, he added 10 more years as contract labor at the same company.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda, of the home, sons Scott (Tammy) of Pryor, Mark (LouAnn) of Jenks, daughter-in-law Darla Craft Coats (Rick) and honorary son-in-law, David Coats of Salina, Oklahoma, sister Judy Strother of Deer Park, Texas, sister-in-law Carolyn Craft (Paul) of Tulsa, grandchildren Brittany Craft, Andy Craft (Liz), Amanda Craft, Addison Craft, Alex Craft (Bethany), Sarah Sikes (Ben), and great grandchildren - triplets: Caroline, Lucy and Micah Sikes.

Buster was preceded in death by his parents, brother Paul, brother-in-law Doyle Strother (Judy) and his youngest son, Rick. He looked forward to a great reunion with all of his family, but he especially talked about seeing his son, Ricky, again.
