Obituary
Calvin Thompson, 60, of 1210 N. Trenton Ave., Tulsa, OK, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 1977, at his residence, of lung cancer. He was born on Tuesday, March 20, 1917, in Webb City, MO, to Jasper E. Thompson and Viola (Pillows) Thompson. Calvin was married to Lula Thompson and a retired steel worker for Bethlehem Steel. He was proud to have served his country in WWII. Calvin is survived by his wife; son, Leroy Thompson; 1 grandson; 2 sisters, Mrs. Howard Sanders of Tulsa, OK, and Mrs. Dick Brumfield of Baytown, TX; a number of nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; Calvin will be greatly missed in the days ahead, but his spirit and memories will live on within each of us, because we were privileged to have him in our lives.
