Carl Stanley White, Jr.
11/02/1955 - 01/12/2020
Carl White was born in Cushing, Oklahoma on November 2nd, 1955 to Carl Stanley White and Shelia Ann Warnock White. He spent his earliest years living in Drumright, Oklahoma, then moved to a farm near Shamrock. As a young man Carl loved to hunt and fish with his Grandpa Warnock and brothers, Doug and Roger. He was active in FFA raising and showing pigs and cattle. Carl graduated from Drumright High School in 1974.
After graduation, Carl moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to attend Tulsa Carpenters Apprenticeship Program. Shortly after arriving in Tulsa, he met Deborah Faye Rusden in the College and Career class at Eastwood Baptist Church. Carl and Debbie were married on July 31, 1976. Their 44 year marriage has been a true picture of love and commitment to all who have witnessed it.
Carl finished his apprenticeship program in 1978, and in 1980 started Carl S. White Construction in the single car garage of their home. Over the past 40 years, that small business grew into a thriving company. Carl attributed the professional successes that he experienced to God's faithfulness and blessings. While that is true, Carl's character, integrity, and dedication to his craft helped his business become the respected company that it is today.
Carl and Debbie had two children - Amanda and Nathan. He was a kind, devoted and compassionate father. Carl worked hard to support his family, but never missed a piano recital, football game or any important event in the lives of his children. While a wonderful father, he might possibly have been an even better Grandpa. His grandchildren, Ethan, Sophie and Quinn, were such a joy to him.
More important than Carl's personal and professional accomplishments was his faith in Jesus Christ. He accepted Christ as his Savior when he was in the first grade, and anyone who knew Carl could see that relationship reflected in his life. He began teaching Sunday School when he was a teenager, and continued until the Sunday before his passing. Carl served as a deacon at First Baptist Church, Jenks and was a spiritual mentor to many over the years.
Carl passed from this life into eternity on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Services will be held at First Baptist Church, Jenks on January 16th at 2:00 pm with graveside to follow. The services will be officiated by Pastors Roger White and Rick Frie. He will be interred at Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
