Carlen Linda Ramsey, 77, passed away February 18, 2023 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Born April 21, 1945 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to James T. and Betty Marie (Hampton) Graham.
She grew up on a farm in rural Wagoner County. She was not afraid of hard work and her parents and family were important to her throughout her whole life.
Carlen first started working as a waitress at Bruce's Truck Stop. She worked at Yuba Heat as a forklift operator and the United Postal Service as a mail carrier and retired from Broken Arrow Public School as a school bus driver.
She was an avid hunter and fisherman. She loved camping, gardening, cooking, traveling, cookouts and visiting. She loved a good conversation. She loved Elvis, Conway Twitty and Kid Rock's song "Born Free". She loved to dance in her younger years and she enjoyed a cold tomato beer once in a while.
She was kind and caring. She would do anything she could to help whoever needed it. All the boys' childhood and adult friends considered and called her "Mom".
Carlen is preceded in death by her parents Jim and Betty Graham; her husband Ted Ramsey; her children's father Ray Dean Dotson; daughter Carlen Dean Dotson. She is survived by sons Jimmy Dotson and April Welch, Tommy Dotson and Joanie Barlow, Charlie Dotson and wife Joellen; brother Bill Graham and wife Shirley; sisters Marge Graham and Jamie Robbins and husband Kevin; granddaughter Shelby and grandson Brayd'n.
A memorial service will be held at 10AM, Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Oak Grove Church, 6102 South 273rd East Ave, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
