Carmen Pauline (Collins) Paul, born May 22, 1953 in Poteau, OK, passed away Monday, February 22, 2021 at St Francis Hospital, Tulsa, OK. Carmen was a 1971 graduate of Poteau HS and earned her Associate Degree in the Arts at Poteau Community College (now Carl Albert). She was a former Homecoming Queen who played sports and enjoyed singing throughout her school years. She worked in the food service industry, including 25 years with the Edmond Public School System, as a Dietary Manager. She later became a CNA. Carmen enjoyed the outdoors and was active in Boy Scouts, hiking and camping. After retirement, she joined in on a hiking excursion in the Pacific Northwest.
Carmen was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Sally (Pierce) Collins; brothers Kenneth Collins and David Collins. Surviving family: sister-in-laws Mary Collins (Poteau, OK), and Cynthia Collins (Marshall, TX), brother George and wife Linda (Midland, AR), sister Debra and husband Keith Henson (Poteau), sister JoAnn Breashers (Poteau, OK), brother Jerry and wife Pam Collins (Poteau), brother Paul and wife Trina Collins (Poteau, OK), brother Mark and wife Liz Collins (Poteau, OK), as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Former husband Don Paul, and children son Jeremy and wife Brenda Paul (Broken Arrow, OK), son Jared Paul (Tulsa, OK), son Justin Paul and wife Wendy Walker (Tulsa, OK), daughter Jamie Paul (Tulsa, OK).
Former husband Charlie Andrews, son Brad and wife Stacie Andrews (Edmond, OK).
Grandchildren Ethan Paul, Logan Paul, Ashton Paul, Olivia Paul, Madeline Paul, McKenzie Paul, Micah Dees, Vincent Andrews, Nathan Andrews.
There will be a viewing at the Moore Funeral Home in Tulsa, OK from 2-8 Saturday, February 27. A memorial service, and releasing of her ashes, will be held in Poteau, OK with date and location to be determined. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help offset expenses.
