Carol Kay Beem, 74, of Tulsa, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, April 18, 2019. She was born February 21, 1945 in Lincoln, NE. The family will be holding a private service.

After graduating from Northeast High School in 1963, she married R. Micheal "Mike" Beem, and together they had 3 children. In 1989, Carol moved with her family to Tulsa, OK to continue her 30-year career with State Farm Insurance. Here she completed her BA in psychology, and later retired in March of 2007. She spent the remainder of her years traveling to see family, spoiling her grandchildren, crocheting baby blankets for Hillcrest Hospital and Birthright of Tulsa, hiking at Turkey Mountain, singing, dancing, and eating at her favorite restaurants with her companion, Michael Flynn.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband; and parents, Lois and Clarence Piontek. She is survived by her children, Christopher Beem, Jennilea Beem (Erica Combs), and Marissa Beem; 2 grandchildren, Tristan Ambrester and Jordan Ambrester; brothers Alan Piontek (Jean), and Arthur "Art" Piontek (Shelley Howard); her sister of the heart, Cheryl Tomasek Piontek; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
