Carol Marie Dunn, 80, passed away Friday, November 15, 2024, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, following a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Carol was born on December 25, 1943 to Donald and Edna (Bothe) Swegle in Rochelle, Illinois. She graduated from Rochelle High School in 1961. She worked many years providing in-home child care before spending many years working at Play and Learn Day Care in Tulsa, Oklahoma before her illness forced her to retire.

Carol was an avid reader and loved doing crossword puzzles and putting puzzles together. She loved children and babies, they brought her much joy. She was very loved by her family and friends and will be very missed. She is free from the disease that she fought so bravely against, now she has a heavenly body with no more pain, sorrows or worries.

Carol is survived by her son Steven Tollison and his wife Rose of Sapulpa, OK; Daughter Sherry Templeton and husband Richard of Bartlesville, OK; Daughter Shelley Mitchell and husband David of Locust Grove, OK; Grandchildren Dalton Sasser and Sierra Sasser of Tulsa, OK; Grandson Dalton Templeton of Boston, MA; Grandson Braden Templeton and wife Chantelle of Tulsa, OK; Grandson Paul Vogel of Elkhorn, WI; Grandson Don Hurd IV of Sapulpa, OK; Granddaughter Christina Ulhman and her children Serenity and Syphira of Glenpool, OK; and Great granddaughter Parker Sasser of Tulsa, OK.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her three brothers, Allen Swegle of Ashton, Il; Larry Swegle of Rochelle, IL; Melvin Swegle of Rochelle, IL; and her son, Dennis Vogel of Elkhorn, WI.

Visitation will be held on November 25, 2024 at Moore Funeral Home, 2570 South Harvard, Tulsa, Oklahoma between 5 and 7 pm.

Her remains will be interred in the spring of 2025 at Ashton Cemetery in Ashton Illinois.
