Carol Jean Glass, 88, passed away Dec. 31, 2016 in Tulsa. She was born Feb. 22, 1928 in Pharoah, OK to Olin Pierce Cargile and Bessie Lee Ingram Cargile. She married Robert Akin Glass and he preceded her in death in 2003.
She worked mostly as a homemaker, and did volunteer work at the Edmond Memorial Hospital in the gift shop for several years. Carol was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, was active for many years in P.E.O. and was a Rainbow Girl in her youth.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Glass was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Margaret Cargile and Betty Osborn and 2 brothers, Olin Pierce Cargile, Jr. and Kenneth Cargile. She is survived by a daughter, Leslie Edwards and her husband John Linder; a son, Gary M. Glass and his wife Janet; a grandson, Jason Edwards and his wife Cecilia; a granddaughter, Jessica Haley Glass; a great grandson, John Paul Edwards; a sister, Billie D'Altorio; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A private memorial service was held at Moore's Southlawn Chapel.
